Lots of great food, music, and just a great atmosphere overall. This speaks to safety.again, no problems. I did not see fights, there was plenty of police to keep order, and people overall were respectful. My wife, who I would consider a prissy, actually liked the event which greatly surprised me. If you do not like diversity.again, do not come! What you will see is people of lots of different cultures and colors. That is good, right? It will all be cleaned up. Lots of people.thousands!! If you do not like crowds.again, do not come!!! People will throw their cups on the street and garbage bins overflow.but I am glad, because I see the vendors selling lots of food and the locals making an income. This is all about Hispanic culture and music.period!! Some music is more popular in one country then another. Yes, even countries that speak Spanish are different. Music varies.Latin music, of different genres of which there are many, you will hear it all. I say Hispanic, because my wife is Brazilian which is a completely different culture and music (Brazilian speak Portuguese, therefore are not Hispanics who speak Spanish). If you do not like Hispanic music, then do not come. Overall I was quite impresses in the scale and size of this event - it is huge. This was my first year at the Calle Ocho Music Festival.
